Asbestos dust exposure can result in the development of disease.  This fact has been a strong impetus for research.  One interesting study involving the disease development in the lungs of rats is called, “Hydroxyl radicals are formed in the rat lung after asbestos instillation in vivo.” By Schapira RM, Ghio AJ, Effros RM, Morrisey J, Dawson CA, Hacker AD – Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee – Am J Respir Cell Mol Biol. 1994 May;10(5):573-9.  Here is an excerpt: “The hydroxyl radical (.OH) has been implicated as a cause of lung injury following asbestos exposure. However, despite in vitro evidence associating asbestos with .OH production, there has been no demonstration of such generation in vivo. Although we all try to lead a healthy life very few of us fully understand what vitamins and nutrients we need. An essential vitamin to have in your body is Omega 3 and many people don’t understand the benefits of having enough of it. People are taking omega 3 supplements and not knowing why but as they are selling very well in the shops, people must be seeing the health benefits of this essential nutrient. Although the fatty acids can be received from natural forms, supplements are certainly better than not getting as much as you need.

Omega 3 and Omega 6 are essential fatty acids which every human should have in their diet; your body cannot manufacture these acids. So you will need to either consume foods with them in it or take supplements. The health benefits are amazing for Omega 3. It has been proven that people who have the correct amount in their bodies are healthier and will have fewer health problems. The Omega 3 helps to promote healthy cholesterol and regulate blood pressure. This substance has a great anti-inflammatory effect and people who have the right levels in their bodies claim to get great relief from joint discomfort. If I had been diagnosed with your cancer 20 years ago I would have accepted any treatment recommended by my doctors because after all they are the experts. However today that is not so and that’s because of one simple reason, knowledge. The study of cancer has taught me many facts which of course I was ignorant of back then. I have learnt why we only have those 3 treatments of surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, I have learnt of the ineffectiveness of those 3 treatments, I have learnt who controls the cancer industry and I have learnt there are other, better ways to overcome all cancers.

Now days being 20 years wiser if I was diagnosed with cancer I would apply a little common sense and ask myself a few questions, for instance why did I get cancer in the first place and if I get it surgically removed what’s going to stop it from growing back again since surgery doesn’t address that. Also does it make any sense to use nuclear radiation to burn it out or a poison as in chemotherapy to try and remove it which also won’t stop it coming back. People today accept those treatments because they believe they are the only ways to cure cancer.

One of the first facts I learnt about cancer is, when it is first diagnosed it is in its primary state and nobody ever dies from primary cancer. It’s secondary cancer, cancer that has shifted to another location that kills, so as long as it doesn’t spread I’m not going to die. To make sure my cancer doesn’t spread means addressing the root cause or the prime reason why it first appeared and not just remove the problem which is the unwanted growths and that’s all our orthodox medical system is doing. We all have seen the scenes from the King of Reggae with his ever present ‘co-star’ in many of his interviews. In one of his famous moments he calmly turns and says ”Herb is the healing of a nation, alcohol is the destruction.”

Many years have passed since Bob Marley said these words and high levels of addiction to pot along with the many health dangers that it poses have proven that by no means will herb be ”the healing of a nation.” One thing he did say correctly and thousands of drug and alcohol rehabs are evidence of this is the fact that ” alcohol is the destruction.”It should not be taken for granted that not just alcohol can destroy one, but any drug, habit and tendency that compromises a human being of clear reasoning and stability of self.

The use of pot usually begins in teenage years, with teenagers trying to be a part of a group to identify themselves with some popular trend. As they evolve, many step into the light of maturity and shed certain behavioral patterns, but in many instances take the use of pot into their adult life. The result of this have been higher statistics in drug rehabs of addicts trying to overcome their addiction to marijuana and the chain effect of this has been more broken homes, dysfunctional human beings and utter sadness.
