It doesn’t take a rocket scientist for treating anxiety disorders. Here are some quick steps to help you step out of your anxiety disorder.
Get to know the triggers – The ancient scholars like Aristotle or Plato dedicated their whole lives for knowing themselves. I’m not saying that you become that kind of philosopher for treating your panic attacks. All you have to do is switch on your self analysis power. To find out if their patient has problem drinking, or even alcoholism, physicians often use the CAGE screening questions to help determine if they have a problem which should be addressed. The first question is based on the letter “C” and asks if a person has ever thought about Cutting back on their drinking. The second letter, “A”, is when a physician asks if you have ever felt Annoyed with people asking you questions about your drinking. The “G” asks if you have ever felt Guilty about your drinking, and the final letter “E”, asks if you have ever had an Eye opener in the morning, i.e. drinking alcohol in the morning to get going. People who answer two or more questions in the affirmative are more than 90 percent likely to have a drinking problem. Approximately one in ten Americans will suffer from alcohol dependence during their life. A person who is dependent on alcohol may develop a tolerance to the effects of alcohol which include disinhibition, and decreased cognitive functions such as reasoning. As person who is dependent on alcohol may also develop alcohol withdrawal symptoms, which in their most severe form can include nausea and vomiting, hallucinations, seizures, tremors, and even the occasionally fatal delirium tremens. There are a variety of treatments for alcohol dependence, and for alcoholism. People who have alcoholism are encouraged to avoid drinking alcohol as this may lead to a relapse into heavy drinking. The earlier that a person who has a problem drinking alcohol is identified and offered at least some form of treatment, the more likely that they will be able to identify their alcohol consumption as a problem and the less likely they will develop alcoholism. A brief intervention may include discussing with a person how they have a problem drinking alcohol, and discussing with them how their alcohol consumption is affecting their life and the lives of other people around them. If a person does not believe that they have a problem, then they are less likely to seek treatment. However, a person who does accept that they have problem drinking, will be more receptive to suggestions to join a self help group such as alcoholics anonymous. Continue reading ‘Alcohol Addiction’ »

This is something i have long argued about, i have a wealth of experience in treating shy and socially phobic people from severe to moderate to not very shy at all. Also at www.happy-minds.co.uk we treat depression and anxiety with great success. We treat it with words and we treat it with mental exercises that in my experience guarantee that as long as the person wants to overcome these problems they can do, and simply. We use some CBT and we use some NLP and because we use what works when treating shyness and social anxiety we get outstanding results every time.
At www.happy-minds.co.uk we understand that shyness and social anxiety is not a disease, it is not because of a chemical imbalance. Its simply because of the way we run our mind. Imagine for a moment your mind was a huge computer, and you run on that computer software and at this moment you are running the software called “being shy and socially anxious” and since this is the only program your brain knows how to run, it runs it very well. Because the computer of the mind will run exactly what it knows how to run but it is willing to run whatever it learns. And our simple exercises teach your mind how to run new programs or new software in the old situations so you can get amazing new results. We are so certain we offer a guarantee that our programs will change you quickly simply and forever, that is a far stretch from what the drug companies are promising. Anti depressant medication and so called mind medicine is huge business, and there is no evidence that it works, there is loots of evidence that it is making people very rich : Continue reading ‘Shyness is not a disease’ »

As a therapist I have been researching ‘Adult ADHD / ADD’. What is very interesting is that if someone has experienced the classic symptoms of ADHD which include: inability to organise themselves, poor concentration and focus and impulsive behaviours as a child, they are more than likely to maintain these patterns throughout life. This can result in troubled relationships at work and in their personal life. There is also a 40% chance that their children will exhibit similar symptoms.
Back in the early 80’s, it was reported that common symptoms relating to this condition, were identified by a support group. This was funded by the drug manufacturer responsible for producing Ritalin. This is the most commonly prescribed treatment for the condition, which is diagnosed by a checklist of symptoms over a 6 month period. These drugs are known to have a similar effect on the body’s system as cocaine does and are highly controversial, especially as they are prescribed to very young children. I have even had people approach me saying that their baby has ADHD and what can they do about it? Continue reading ‘Adult ADHD can be a Real Problem’ »

Many people have turned their hopes to a promising form of new ADHD / ADD therapy from gene research which is currently underway.Dopamine transporter gene (DAT) is one of potentially 150 genes which might have an influence on ADHD behaviour especially, concerning the symptoms of impulsive behaviour that are part of the checklist of symptoms which are currently thought to effect up to 12 -20% of children around the world according to recent statistics.
However, we also know from genetic research that things are not as simple as inheriting something from a family member, like blue eyes or brown eyes for example. Certain genes have a dormant potential. This means that like a light switch being turned on there is a trigger for that gene to create the condition. Continue reading ‘Natural ADHD / ADD Therapy’ »

Let me guide you to the science of prostatic massage. In the medical industry, this massage is not the usual massage we get in a spa. It is a procedure done to get a semen sample from the paraplegics and victims of stroke. Hence, it makes life easier for both doctors and patients.
We can view prostatic massage in that “medical†perception but there is more to it that we actually know. This massage can actually elicit blissful release from males, that some people say is equivalent to the joys of women from multiple orgasm. Now, men and their partners have a new parameter to explore. Very exciting isn’t? Continue reading ‘The Science of Prostatic Massage’ »

A panic anxiety disorder can appear in anybody. But needless to say, it isn’t the nicest thing to experience. What happens with most of the people is that, they do not even realize that they’re actually experiencing a case of panic attack.
And when you have a panic anxiety disorder, all you realize is that it is hard to breathe properly, your heart’s beating too fast, you feel shaky and reach the verge of fainting. In addition, when people have multiple cases of panic anxiety disorder, they know they have something to worry about. Continue reading ‘Handling And Preventing Panic Anxiety Disorder Situations’ »

How To Be Happy With Less

Mind & Body
You Will Need
- Acceptance
- Frugality
- Happy thoughts
- Enjoyable experiences
- Environmentalism
Step 1: Assume this is as good as it gets
Assume you’ll never be richer. Research shows you’re more apt to be content with what you have if you’re not wishing and hoping and praying to get more. The more you buy into the idea that more money will make you happy, the less happy you’ll be.
Embrace the sentiment that true happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you’ve got.
Step 2: Know the truth Continue reading ‘How To Be Happy With Less’ »
