Cancer

As I have embarked on this journey treating patients with various conditions I always stayed away from treating patients with cancer. In fact, in massage therapy school we were specifically taught, “Do not treat patients with Cancer”. Up until about a year ago I treated this phrase like Holy Grail, until I encountered a few patients who I wanted to help but couldn’t. Accidentally looking for a kinesthetic class I stumbled upon an oncology massage certification. Was this fait I asked myself?

I immediately committed to the class and this is truly where the magic began. Not only did I learn that manual therapy could not spread the cancerous tumors it also reiterated the benefits of massage. Touch heals everyone.
